MELODRAMA BOUTIQUE HOSTS ANNUAL SIDEWALK SALE WITH COMMUNITY-FOCUSED FLAIR
16th annual event for SERIOUS SHOPPERS empowers Houston small business and nonprofit organizations
MELODRAMA is calling all shoppers to its 16th Annual Sidewalk Sale – Houston’s biggest boutique block shopping and community experience – on Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
MELODRAMA is located at 5306 Almeda Road in Houston, Texas and can be reached at 713-523-1608.
More than a chic shopping event, the day combines fashion, food, fellowship and empowerment with more than 20 vendors in support of Houston nonprofit organizations and small businesses.
Delicious Caribbean cuisine and frozen elixirs will be served all day. The music starts at 2 p.m. with DJ Elevated. The event is open to the public.
MELODRAMA will offer more than 300 fashionable selections for less than $50 as the boutique shares its space with other entrepreneurs for one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.
This year’s sidewalk sale expresses the sentiment of HOUSTON STRONG as the city remains resilient in its ongoing recovery from Hurricane Harvey.
Event partners include the Reggae Hut Cafe, Bar Divaz, Hodges Communications Group and Elevated.

MELODRAMA Boutique, located in Houston’s historic Third Ward community, has been a favorite of fashionistas, savvy career women and stylish socialites since owner Jackie Adams opened in 2002. More than a fashion-lovers haven, MELODRAMA is a community incubator of goodwill where guests develop lasting friendships and promote the services of emerging businesses. Its name is appropriate — a sensational place with a flair for sensational women with flair. For more than 15 years, MELODRAMA has offered one-of-a-kind apparel and accessories for sophisticated women of all lifestyles and sizes. “Opening MELODRAMA was a dream of mine,” Adams says. “The dream was just the beginning and the work was the light.” The boutique’s extensive charitable endeavors include support for the Houston Area Women’s Center, which supports survivors of domestic and sexual violence in building lives free from the effects of abuse.
